HR Manager Job Description
My client, Hygeia, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager to join their growing team.

Hygeia Garden Care is an 85-year-old company with a strong market position in Ireland. We manufacture high-quality home and garden care products under various brands, including Mosgo, Hytrol, Greenforce, and Gouldings. Our product range is complemented by agencies from reputable companies like Sutton's Seeds, Thompon & Morgan Seeds, Johnsons Lawn Seed, and others.
We are currently experiencing significant growth and require an HR Manager to work 20 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities
* General HR administration
* Create, update, and maintain employee personnel files in accordance with applicable legal requirements (GDPR & HIQA)
* Administer and support employee health and safety, welfare, and wellness
* Develop, update, and maintain policies and procedures
* Contribute to the development and achievement of department goals and objectives
* Participate in succession planning
* Analyse opportunities to improve performance, reduce costs, and positively impact metrics
* Develop an employee-oriented company culture emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, and high performance
Job Objectives
* Employee Relations: Conduct investigations, disciplinary hearings, and grievance hearings in line with Company policy. Ensure compliance with Employment Law
* Compensation and Benefits: Administer Company pension and benefits suite
* Absence Management: Liaise with Risk and Liability Manager to support Work-Related Injuries
* Performance Management: Support Line Managers with performance concerns
* Training and Development: Collaborate with Recruitment team and Training and Development team
* Retention and Employee Engagement: Support Line Managers with Retention Strategy
* HRIS Administration: Report writing and development, systems administration, and configuration of in-house HRIS system (Softworks)
Requirements
* HR Qualification (CIPD Qualified preferable)
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation
* Prior HR generalist experience essential. Experience in social care or health-related discipline desirable but not essential

* Excellent communication skills
* Proficient in written communication skills (report writing)
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues at all levels
* Excellent IT and administration skills
* Self-starter/Self-motivated
* Ability to adapt to fast-paced work environment with high attention to detail
Remuneration Package
The remuneration package will reflect the importance of the role and the experience of the successful candidate. The package includes bonus, laptop, phone, pension, 20 weeks maternity leave, and paternity leave.
