The Environmental Coordinator is a crucial role that drives the development and implementation of environmental, health, and safety initiatives across the site.
Main Responsibilities:
* Foster effective working relationships with site leadership and management teams to deliver results through collaboration.
* Develop strong underpinning knowledge of onsite processes by working closely with site-based and central teams, including external parties.
* Liaise regularly with subject matter experts from within the wider business to enhance communication links.
* Ensure all process improvements prioritise employee health and safety, reducing the risk of accidents and injuries.
* Maintain and work with team members to enhance and maintain safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and policies.
* Drive continuous improvement in environmental, health, safety, and security (EHS) performance through responsible practices.
Sustainable Practices:
* Implement sustainable practices that minimise environmental impact, such as reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption.
* Monitor and optimise usage of water, gas, and electricity on the site.
* Engage with site initiatives to drive energy conservation projects.
* Conduct regular toolbox talks where required.
Culture and Teamwork:
* Create a collaborative environment where team members work together to achieve common goals.
* Maintain open and transparent communication with team members, keeping them informed about project progress and changes.
* Provide constructive feedback to team members and encourage them to share their ideas and suggestions.
