Responsibilities
* Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
* Monitor project expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
* Assist in preparing tender documents, including Bills of Quantities and contract submissions.
* Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify financial challenges or discrepancies.
* Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to optimize cost efficiency and resource allocation.
* Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Provide support and expertise in resolving financial disputes and contractual issues.
* Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
* A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
* Strong knowledge of cost management principles and construction processes.
* Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent analytical and numerical skills for accurate cost assessment.
* Strong communication and negotiation abilities for interacting with clients and contractors.
* Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
* Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is a plus, but not essential.
