Overview
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to be part of our secondment team in Cork.
Responsibilities
Deliver support for automation and control systems involved in manufacturing operations.
Serve as a technical point of reference for automation-related matters across the engineering team.
Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies aimed at boosting operational efficiency.
Collaborate on project teams, offering expertise and guidance on control systems hardware and architectural decisions.
Anticipate and address technical challenges to minimize disruption to operational goals.
Troubleshoot, interpret, and update automation software in accordance with the site\'s quality standards.
Design, verify, and deploy control software within a sophisticated, validated, and automated manufacturing setting.
Build and connect software tools for automated systems, integrating them with the site\'s existing digital analytics platforms.
Qualifications
Level 8 Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field with equivalent technical experience is required.
3+ years of experience in automation.
Strong understanding of automated control systems such as Allen Bradley and Siemens, robotics, and industrial automation.
Proven experience with automation tools (e.g., PLC, SCADA, HMI).
