The role of Depot Quality Team Lead is a critical position within our organization, responsible for monitoring and verifying the implementation of food safety and quality policies across our distribution center.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and monitor the quality and safety of food products for our site
* Implement and maintain Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) in accordance with regulatory requirements
* Act as a key member of our Food Safety team, providing expertise and guidance on food safety and quality matters
* Manage Packer Brand Supplier and product approvals, ensuring compliance with our quality standards
* Maintain accurate records in accordance with corporate and auditing standards
We are seeking an experienced individual with a strong background in quality assurance, who possesses excellent communication and influencing skills. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, be a team player, and demonstrate integrity and accountability.
The successful candidate will have a qualification in a recognized food or science discipline, and previous experience working in a food industry environment at a quality assurance level. They will also possess knowledge of food safety and quality procedures and policies, and be familiar with product specification portals.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our technical team, assist with product reviews, and create or review product specifications for Sysco Branded products. You will also be responsible for assisting the QC team with day-to-day duties and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
