Process Engineering Manager

Are you a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-tech environments? We're on the lookout for a Process Engineering Manager who's passionate about innovation, continuous improvement, and making a real impact. You'll be leading critical operations in a cutting-edge manufacturing facility based in Cootehill, Co. Cavan.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead all aspects of process engineering operations, including team oversight, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Ensure all Health & Safety, GMP, and environmental compliance standards are upheld at all times.
3. Manage large-scale engineering projects related to spray drying, evaporation, thermal processing, and powder conveying systems.
4. Drive a culture of structured problem-solving and continuous improvement across the team.
5. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and EHS teams to establish and deliver on production and process goals.
6. Mentor, coach, and develop technical team members within your value stream.
7. Act as deputy for the Operations Manager when required.
8. Coordinate with contractors and service providers to maintain high standards of technical execution.
9. Ensure all new and existing equipment is validated according to internal quality standards.
Ideal experience and skills:
10. Bachelor's Degree in Food Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
11. 10+ years of relevant engineering experience in a food, dairy, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
12. Strong knowledge of spray drying, evaporation, and thermal processing.
13. Experience with ATEX-rated environments, powder handling systems, and automated manufacturing processes.
14. Proven leadership capabilities and a history of managing technical teams.
15. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to apply structured problem-solving approaches.
Desirable Skills:
16. Experience in dairy-based or infant formula production is a strong plus.
17. Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within GMP environments.
18. Proficiency in using modeling tools for process optimization and data analysis.
