Overview
Southview Veterinary Hospital is looking for a junior to mid-level Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in small animal general practice to join our supportive and friendly team. This position focuses on small animal patients, with occasional participation in a shared large animal on-call rota to broaden experience. Full training, mentoring, and support are provided to help you develop in surgery and case workups.
Location: Southview Veterinary Hospital, Tipperary
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Out-of-Hours: Shared rota with protected time off to maintain work-life balance
Responsibilities
Work with small animal patients, perform routine surgeries, participate in case workups, and collaborate with the team. Provide high-quality care and engage in continuous learning and professional development.
Candidate Requirements
Registered (or eligible) with the Veterinary Council of Ireland
1-3 years' experience in practice (confident new graduates considered)
Interest in small animal general practice with willingness to learn and develop surgical and clinical skills
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Full driving licence
