As a Commis chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the chefs in the smooth functioning of the kitchen operations. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes while maintaining high culinary standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure the efficient execution of recipes and the overall quality of the food.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and cooking of dishes in line with hotel recipes and quality standards
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, including maintaining clean and organised workstations
Ensure high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness are followed at all times
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods
Help monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
Maintain consistency in food preparation, presentation, and portion control
Take part in ongoing training and development to build culinary skills and knowledge
Support the Head Chef and senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and menu preparation
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel
HACCP trained and hygiene-focused
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Team player, flexible with shifts, and reliable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Schedule: This role requires flexibility, with shifts including evenings and weekends.
