Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail oriented Analytical Chemistry Analyst / Chemistry Lab Trainer to support both laboratory testing activities and the development of analysts within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. This hybrid role combines hands-on analytical testing with responsibility for onboarding, training, and supporting analysts to ensure technical proficiency, compliance, and sustained laboratory excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalytical Testing CompliancePerform analytical testing on drug and drug combination products using HPLC, GC, Elution, Spectroscopy, and Wet Chemistry techniques.Support and participate in laboratory investigations and root cause analyses to ensure timely resolution and compliance with cGMP and regulatory standards.Maintain laboratory systems and documentation in line with regulatory updates and product lifecycle requirements.Assist with documentation for regulatory submissions and support audit activities (internal and external).Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency, reduce lead-times, and improve accuracy.Training Analyst DevelopmentConduct laboratory inductions for new analysts, including EHS, glassware cleaning, and daily laboratory processes.Organize, schedule, and prioritize training sessions in collaboration with analysts and Team Leads.Provide hands-on training in analytical techniques, instrument setup, and laboratory procedures including HPLC, GC, Wet Chemistry, and Empower3 usage.Monitor analysts as they perform tasks for the first time, offering guidance, answering questions, and reinforcing GMP principles.Review analysts' work (HPLC, Wet Chemistry) during training and live testing to ensure accuracy and compliance.Track training completion, maintain training documentation, and identify trends or gaps in training needs.Ensure analysts acknowledge and understand new or updated SOPs; assist with SOP updates where required.Maintain inventory and stock of training materials, ensuring resources are available for onboarding and ongoing training programs.Identify opportunities to strengthen and optimize the training program and onboarding processes.Technical ProficiencyCandidates should possess strong hands on experience with:Analytical Techniques InstrumentationHPLC GC (Waters Agilent systems)FTIR, UV Spectroscopy, Molecular WeightsKarl Fischer (Normal, Oven Processor, Coulometer)LOD, Auto-Titrator, Density OsmometerWater testing: TOC, Conductivity, NitratesUSP ID tests particulate matter analysisHandling of controlled substancesGeneral Lab EquipmentBalances, pipettes, pH meters, conductivity metersSoftwareEmpower3LIMSQualificationsBachelor's degree (Level 8) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biology, Materials Science, or similar technical discipline.Minimum 3 years experience in a regulated laboratory environment.Proven hands-on experience with HPLC and dissolution/elution; strong experience with GC and Wet Chemistry is highly desirable.Experience in GMP environments with strong understanding of laboratory compliance.Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, mentor, and support junior analysts.Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving, investigative, and documentation skills.
