We are seeking an experienced Unified Communications & Collaboration (UCC) Manager to support and oversee collaboration technologies and executive communications for a major client. This is an interim role focused on operational leadership, high-quality conferencing support, and the smooth running of a Microsoft Teams-first collaboration environment.The successful candidate will ensure reliable performance across voice, video, and conferencing services, lead a small UCC function, and provide confident, professional support to senior stakeholders.About the RoleYou will manage day-to-day UCC operations, lead a small technical team, and ensure the stability and quality of all enterprise collaboration services. A key part of the role involves preparing and supporting high-profile executive conference calls, including early-morning sessions when required.The environment is predominantlyMicrosoft Teams, with legacy Cisco systems scheduled for retirement during the early phase of this assignment.Key ResponsibilitiesUCC Operations & Service QualityOversee and manage Unified Communications operations with a primary focus on Microsoft Teams.Ensure stable, secure, and high-quality performance across voice, video, and collaboration services.Support executive meetings and conference calls, including early-morning preparation and technical readiness.Manage incident escalation, root-cause analysis, and service recovery activities.Team & Stakeholder ManagementLead and coordinate a small UCC support function.Maintain clear, proactive communication with senior stakeholders.Provide structured reporting on service performance, issues, and improvements.Technology TransitionOversee the retirement of remaining Cisco UCC systems (scheduled approximately one month into the assignment).Ensure all users and services are fully transitioned and stable within the Teams environment.Work with technical teams and vendors to ensure configuration accuracy and seamless cutovers.What You BringStrong expertise with Microsoft Teams (voice, conferencing, room systems, call queues, policy configuration, administration).Proven experience managing or leading UCC or collaboration operations.Ability to confidently support executive-level communication with professionalism and composure.Strong stakeholder-management skills in enterprise environments.Familiarity with Cisco UCC (CUCM, voice gateways, telephony) for short-term transition support.Comfortable with early-morning availability for high-profile meetings when needed.Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.Desired Skills and Experience
