About the role
As a Senior RDA Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Food Service Beverage portfolio across Europe. Sitting at the intersection of science, innovation, and customer partnership, you will lead the development of cutting‑edge beverage solutions for some of the world's most recognisable coffee chains and quick‑service restaurants.
In this position, you will play a key part in elevating our technical capability guiding junior team members, championing best‑practice laboratory standards, driving value engineering initiatives, and ensuring our products are sustainable, commercially viable, and grounded in Kerry's Foundational Technologies.
You will collaborate across a wide technical ecosystem, including Technology, Applications, Commercial, Manufacturing and Commercialisation teams, acting as a trusted expert who brings clarity, feasibility, and direction to cross‑functional teams.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead and support Beverage NPD projects for global coffee chain customers, managing briefs from concept through to factory handover.
2. Ensure products meet customer requirements and timelines, and support additional priority Food Service Beverage NPD initiatives.
3. Partner with Kerry Technology teams to incorporate Kerry Foundational Technologies into Beverage Systems.
4. Work closely with the Beverage Applications team to ensure new products meet customer expectations and perform in customer applications.
5. Collaborate with Kerry Beverage manufacturing sites to ensure recipes fit site capabilities, and attend trials and first production runs.
6. Engage with commercial teams to deliver best‑in‑class solutions and align on timelines throughout commercialisation.
7. Lead and support customer innovation days and internal innovation briefs.
8. Manage PIP/value engineering projects for Food Service Beverage Systems.
9. Maintain strong laboratory practices and ensure shelf‑life testing is completed with Quality teams.
10. Participate in weekly team meetings to track project progress and timelines.
11. Lead or support taste panels and product evaluation sessions.
12. Work in alignment with the Food Service regional strategy.
Qualifications and skills
13. Degree in a Scientific or Food Technology discipline an advantage
14. Experience and proven track record in New Food Product Development
15. Strong technical acumen and understanding of food/ beverage manufacturing desired
16. Good lab practices and organisational skills to maintain a clean efficient working environment.
17. Culinary/Barista skills an advantage.
18. Excellent communication and influencing skills
19. Customer experience desired
20. Competent IT skills
