Senior Capital Analyst

XLICSE is the main insurance company platform to operate under the AXA XL brand from branches within Europe and Asia Pacific.
The key purpose of this role is to support the Head of Capital Modelling, Ireland in ensuring that the risk profile of XLICSE is adequately modelled and communicated via an internal capital model that reflects AXA Group standards.
What you'll be DOING
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Support the ongoing development and use of approved Solvency II internal model for XLICSE including:
* Maintenance and adjustment of model code.
* Support & review of parameterization processes, ensuring they are completed in time for model use and in line with specified standards.
* Support the performance testing on model outputs to ensure appropriateness of model calibration.
* Production and review of model inputs and outputs including justifying their appropriateness for the entity's exposure.
* Assist in the production of such written reports and quantitative output as may be required in the communication and validation of the Capital Model.
* Support the XLICSE Risk and Actuarial functions in production of internal model-based risk metrics e.g., stress testing for ORSA, ceded reinsurance assessment.
* Respond to queries or ad-hoc investigations regarding the capital or underlying risk position of the entity.
* Ensure governance processes are appropriately followed and data quality standards are met.
* Production and maintenance of model documentation to a sufficient standard to meet regulatory and professional demands in respect of any activity carried out.
You will report to the Head of Capital Modelling, Ireland.
What you will BRING
We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills and Abilities:
* Recent graduate of a numerical discipline and/or someone currently sitting actuarial exams,
* Highly numerate and analytical with very good academic record,
* Knowledge and/or experience of Solvency II,
* A self-starter with effective organizational skills,
* Good written and verbal communication skills,
* Working knowledge of capital modelling concepts with coding skills beneficial,
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills – preferably with experience of VBA.
