This is a permanent role with an excellent package for the right candidate, including progression to Associate level.What You’ll Be DoingLead the design of electrical building servicesCollaborate closely with mechanical engineers, sustainability consultants, architects and clients to deliver fully integrated, future-ready solutions.Oversee project delivery from concept through to completion—ensuring compliance, efficiency, and technical excellence at every stage.Conduct site visits and inspections, provide clear technical guidance, and resolve design or co-ordination issues on the ground.Mentor junior engineers, helping to build a strong, capable team that shares your commitment to quality and innovation.Stay ahead of the curve, applying the latest in renewable energy, low-carbon tech, and sustainable design practices.What We’re Looking ForDegree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.Minimum 7+ years’ experience in electrical building services design.Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and standards.Confident communicator with the ability to lead meetings and build strong relationships with stakeholders.Passion for sustainability, innovation, and shaping better buildings.Experienced in overseeing multiple projects simultaneouslyWhy Join UsAt Bernard Smith Consulting Engineers, you’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team working on meaningful projects across a range of sectors.
