This role includes working in both the hotel and our self-catering accommodation.We currently have full-time positions available. Rate of pay will depend on experience.About the RoleAs an Accommodation Assistant, you will help ensure that guest bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas are presented to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. Your attention to detail and pride in your work will directly contribute to a welcoming and exceptional guest experience.If you thrive in a busy environment, enjoy creating beautifully presented spaces, and bring a positive, professional approach to your work, this is the role for you.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms to 4* / 5* standards following all SOPs.Refresh and restock amenities, linen, towels, stationery, and supplies across the department.Check all appliances and room features to ensure they are present and in working order.Dress beds and prepare rooms to a consistent, high-quality finish.Clean large and small furniture, floors, walls, mirrors, windows, wardrobes, and fixtures.Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment in all back-of-house areas.Correctly use and store cleaning materials, chemicals, machinery, and equipment.Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.Remove rubbish, replace used linen, and clear any room service items.Clean corridors, public areas, and self-catering accommodation as required.Report maintenance issues and lost property promptly to your supervisor.Assist with unloading and moving stock, equipment, and supplies.Work effectively under pressure while maintaining speed, accuracy, and high standards.Carry out ad-hoc cleaning duties as requested by the Accommodation Management Team.What You BringMinimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role within a 4* or 5* hotel.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards of presentation.Excellent communication skills across diverse nationalities and teams.Friendly, energetic, approachable, professional, and well-groomed.A clear understanding of the importance of exceptional guest experience.Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.Strong organisational skills and a flexible, team-oriented approach.Willingness to learn and follow all Health & Safety and cleaning procedures.Why You'll Love Working With UsTraining & development opportunities.Experiential learning and cross-departmental growth opportunities.Long service recognition and monthly/annual staff awards.Regular staff appreciation events including summer BBQs & Christmas celebrations.Reduced rates on hotel stays and F&B across the Hayfield Family Collection.Access to our leisure centre and gym at significantly reduced rates.Competitive, market-related salary.Free staff meals on duty.Free uniforms provided.Our CultureAt the Hayfield Family Collection, hospitality is our heritage.
