QA Automation Engineer We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join a growing product-focused technology team working on a complex, cloud-based platform within the healthcare domain.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about test automation, quality-first engineering, and modern "shift-left" practices.
The Role You will take ownership of the automated testing strategy, helping evolve a scalable and maintainable automation framework while collaborating closely with developers, QA leadership, and product stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain a robust test automation framework (Playwright-based) Enable automated testing within ephemeral environments, including dynamic configuration and service discovery Develop test data seeding and environment management utilities within a containerised setup Translate business and technical risk into effective automated test coverage Provide technical mentorship, code reviews, and automation standards Advocate for quality and testability early in the development lifecycle Support exploratory and manual testing when needed during critical releases Validate API reliability, performance, and correctness Tech Stack Languages: Type Script / Java Script (Node.js) Automation: Playwright Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), AWS, ephemeral environments Version Control: Git Hub (PR-based workflow) About You 7+ years' experience in QA Automation / SDET-style roles Strong Type Script skills and understanding of web technologies, HTTP, and REST APIs Comfortable balancing automation with pragmatic manual testing Experience integrating quality checks into CI/CD pipelines Confident working in cloud-native, containerised environments Nice to Have Mobile automation experience (e.g.
Appium) Basic security testing knowledge (OWASP, Burp Suite) Performance testing experience (e.g.
