Production Team Leader
Job Summary:
This role involves leading a team to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity, prioritizing safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safety & Quality: Adherence to all relevant procedures to ensure a safe working environment and maintain high standards of quality.
* Critical Thinking: Ability to anticipate and solve problems as they arise, following production schedules and deadlines.
* Drive and Planning: Ensuring production targets are met and exceeded through organization, timely material delivery, and cross-training for operational effectiveness.
* People Management: Motivating, engaging, and communicating with operators, monitoring time and attendance for payroll, holidays, and performance.
* Communication: Effectively communicating with other departments to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner and targets can be achieved.
Requirements:
* Education to Certificate or Diploma level
* Further training and development an advantage, especially in manufacturing excellence, Lean activities, and people management
* Reasonable IT skills – Microsoft packages and ERP
* At least 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
* Track record in achieving targets
* Natural communicator and influencer
* Problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to addressing issues
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Keen understanding of the importance of safety, quality, and on-time delivery
* Forward thinking and solution-focused drive
