A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Cashel is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager – Chemistry to lead and develop the Chemistry Laboratory.
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Senior Quality Director / Qualified Person.
What You’ll Do
* Lead and manage a high-performing Chemistry Laboratory team.
* Oversee testing processes, lab infrastructure, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Manage method and specification change controls, investigations, and technical transfers.
* Coordinate with internal teams and external contract labs to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Act as the key contact for laboratory-related regulatory interactions.
* Support strategic growth and development of the site’s quality control capabilities.
* Develop next‑level leadership within QC/ARD teams and drive operational excellence.
* Identify and implement process improvements, optimise resources, and monitor KPIs.
What You’ll Bring
* BSc or MSc in Chemistry (essential).
* 10+ years’ experience in a pharmaceutical chemistry lab, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
* Strong understanding of lab operations, GMP compliance, and business processes.
* Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
* Experience conducting internal audits and managing change controls.
* Eligible to work in Ireland.
