Pre-Commissioning Manager
Location: Tralee (On-site/Project-based)
Hourly Rate: 50-55/hr
Role Overview:
The Pre-Commissioning Manager will lead all pre-commissioning activities ensuring that systems and equipment are prepared, tested, and verified before commissioning. The role involves managing teams, schedules, and quality control to meet project milestones efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, organize, and supervise pre-commissioning tasks including flushing, cleaning, mechanical completion checks, and system validation.
* Coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning, and QA/QC teams to ensure seamless handover between phases.
* Develop and review pre-commissioning procedures, checklists, and documentation.
* Lead risk assessments and enforce safety compliance on site.
* Monitor progress and generate detailed reports on pre-commissioning status.
* Manage and mentor pre-commissioning engineers and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Certifications:
* 7+ years of experience managing pre-commissioning activities, ideally in pharmaceutical, chemical, or heavy industry sectors.
* Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
* Professional certification in commissioning or project management (e.g., PMI PMP, IChemE, or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of GMP requirements and pharmaceutical industry standards a distinct advantage.
* Proven expertise in reading and interpreting P&IDs, isometrics, and technical drawings.
* Health and Safety certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent required.
* Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
