Our client, a growing international organisation, who is based in Athlone, is looking to hire an ambitious, newly qualified accountant to join their finance team in a newly created Management Accountant role. It is a full time permanent position. Hybrid work arrangements available after 6 months, post successful probation.In this role, you would be responsible for supporting the full accounting cycle, providing insightful financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.Responsibilities:Prepare and post journals, reconcile key balance sheet accountsManage accruals, prepayments, and supplier paymentsConduct month-end performance reviews and variance analysisSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processesServe as a point of contact for internal and external auditorsPrepare VAT returns and adhere to group policiesMaintain supporting schedules and accurate financial recordsWork with large data sets to extract and analyse relevant financial informationRequirements:Must be a qualified accountant with at least 2 years post-qualified experienceStrong accounting skills and knowledge of accounting principlesProficient in MS Excel and experienced with ERP/accounting softwareAbility to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentExcellent communication skills for engaging with non-finance teams
