We are seeking a Lead Energy Engineer to take a senior role in the delivery and development of energy and renewable infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary consultancy.
This position is suited to an experienced engineer who combines strong technical capability with leadership, client engagement, and a broader interest in shaping energy capability.
Responsibilities
* Lead the technical delivery of complex energy and renewable infrastructure projects from early design through to commissioning
* Provide oversight and direction to project teams, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
* Act as a senior technical and client-facing representative across key projects
* Coordinate effectively with planning, environmental, and engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
* Review and approve technical reports, designs, and project documentation
* Support the development of new opportunities through input to tenders, proposals, and client relationships
* Mentor and manage engineers, contributing to team capability, performance, and succession planning
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering (civil or electrical preferred)
* Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional body
* Typically 12+ years post-qualification experience in energy, renewables, or related infrastructure
* Experience in leading the design or delivery of renewable energy projects and/or energy infrastructure
* Strong understanding of regulatory, consenting, and stakeholder environments
* Demonstrated leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
