This role sits within a busy environment where the product is constantly evolving, and you'll play a key part in shaping how new features are tested, documented, and released.The product itself is a large, configurable ERP platform used across a wide range of industries. There's a mix of functionality, integrations, and customer-specific setups, so the work is varied and suits someone who likes problem-solving and understanding how things fit together. If you enjoy a steady flow of interesting tickets, working closely with developers, and improving the structure of testing processes, you'll fit in well here.What you'll be doingCarrying out manual testing across several ERP modules and related productsCreating and maintaining detailed test cases, scripts, and clear test evidenceWorking alongside developers, product owners, and other testers to understand requirements and highlight gapsTaking part in demos to understand new development work and plan meaningful test coverageTesting integrations, configuration changes, customer-specific scenarios, and regression impactsUsing SQL to validate data and Postman to test REST APIsSupporting better documentation and helping build a strong manual pack that feeds into automationContributing to ongoing improvements in testing standards and quality across the teamWhat my client is looking forProfessional experience in manual software testingStrong test case design, defect reporting, and test planning capabilityConfidence using Azure DevOps (or a similar test management tool)Ability to run SQL queries to support testingExperience testing APIs using PostmanA proactive approach - comfortable asking questions, clarifying requirements, and pushing for clarity when neededSomeone structured, organised, and able to manage their workload in a busy sprint environmentGood attention to detail and a calm, methodical approach to exploring complex functionalityNice to haveExperience testing ERP or financial/business systemsAny exposure to Ranorex or other automation frameworksBasic understanding of AWS or GitISTQB certification (helpful but not essential)Why this role might suit youIf you prefer variety, enjoy working with complex logic, and want to be part of a team that's improving its testing standards, this role will give you plenty to get stuck into.
