Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular maintenance and mechanical repair on HGV trucks.
2. Fitting & maintenance of HGV tyres.
3. Visually checks, test drives or uses test equipment to diagnose engine and mechanical faults.
4. Removes, dismantles, repairs and replaces defective parts and prepares new parts using appropriate tools.
5. Reassembles, tests, adjusts and tunes the appropriate parts, systems or entire engine.
6. Carries out routine maintenance checks on oil and air filters, brakes and other vehicle parts/systems.
7. Diagnoses faults in electrical/electronic circuitry, removes faulty components and fits replacements.
8. Checks condition of electrical/electronic systems and carries out servicing tasks.
9. Repairs and services air conditioning, heating and engine-cooling systems.
10. Completing paperwork and working within a maintenance schedule.
11. Ability to work on various vehicles and able to use initiative and adapt easily.
