Job Description
A main contractor in Northern Ireland is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial resources of assigned projects and ensure maximum gross margin.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with a UK main contractor and experience on projects of £4 M+ within the commercial sector.
* To manage commercial resources (finance) to maximise planned gross margin through contract placement and control.
* To assess, review, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
* To support project variation authorisation and submission.
* To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, materials, and plant orders.
* To implement policies for risk management, SHE, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maximise cash flow through work valuation and measurement.
* Authorise the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
* Promote company values towards customers to meet or exceed their expectations.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Min 5 years post-graduate experience as a QS with a contractor.
* Extensive experience in commercial processes and live projects.
* Experience in concluding final accounts and working on projects over £4m.
