About Your New Job Promote a culture of EHS excellence: Lead initiatives to foster a strong EHS culture among employees. Implement ISO management systems: Oversee the implementation of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 across the site. Develop sustainability objectives: Contribute to our Near Zero emissions goals through innovative sustainability projects. Digitalization solutions: Implement and manage digital tools to improve employee engagement with EHS programs. Lead EHS GEMBA program: Coordinate walks, engage with employees, and raise good catches. Maintain EHS Power Apps: Review incidents, good catches, accidents, and evacuations. Introduce EHS improvement projects: Evaluate priorities through risk and compliance reviews. Support Occupational Health: Manage cases, return to work, injury assessments, incident investigations, work accommodations, and ergonomic assessments. Risk assessments: Conduct assessments for area, process, machine safety, chemical, ergonomic, ATEX, work at height, and confined space. Propose mitigation actions. Build relationships: Ensure proactive compliance with EHS policies, standards, and regulations. Develop training programs: Create and maintain training programs for health, safety, and environmental topics. Emergency Response Team support: Develop training, update emergency response plans, and identify improvements. EHS metrics reporting: Identify, report, and trend EHS metrics through an internal Tier board reporting structure. Conduct audits and inspections: Coordinate and conduct internal & external EHS auditing and inspection. Maintain emissions monitoring program: Oversee the site emissions monitoring program. Facilitate site inspections and audits: Prepare for ISO management systems, EPA, HSA, and Dept Agriculture inspections as required. What Skills You Need Educational background: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. Experience: 6+ years in a similar position within manufacturing, preferably in the medical device industry or other regulated manufacturing industry. ISO Auditor Training: Internal Auditor Training for ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 is highly desired. Change management: Proven ability to identify and manage change to build a strong EHS culture. Regulatory experience: Experience with regulatory bodies such as HSA, EPA, and Irish Water. Interpersonal skills: Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization. Project management: LEAN or other organizational qualifications are highly desired. Certifications: First Aid and Manual Handling Instructor Certification is highly desired. Training skills: Good training skills and the ability to train employees on various safety issues.
