Cpl Healthcare is partnering with a non-profit organisation based in Dublin, Ireland, that provides services for individuals who are homeless and at risk of homelessness.
The purpose of this project is to provide short-term accommodation to Ukrainian young people aged 15-17 who have been displaced from their homes.
Job Responsibilities:
* Work within the framework of the organisation's overall objective and values.
* Collaborate with team members within established policies and procedures or as directed by the project manager, deputy manager, or head of department.
* Serve as a key worker for individual young people and work in partnership with external agencies regarding referred clients.
* Contribute to developing individualised programmes exploring clients' experiences of homelessness and support clients in breaking this cycle, preparing them for independent living.
* Support young people who have experienced trauma.
* Support young people presenting with challenging behaviour.
* Advocate on behalf of clients for housing, social work, welfare, education, training, and legal rights.
* Support clients in conjunction with their statutory care plan and develop an individual placement plan.
* Refer and support clients to external agencies assisting with personal, social, educational, employment, legal, and accommodation needs.
* Maintain records according to statutory requirements and health and safety legislation.
* Attend and participate in team, review, and agency meetings as required.
* Assist in implementing organisational settlement policies and strategies.
* Liaise closely with other projects and cooperate with them.
* Engage in regular supervision sessions with the Manager/Deputy.
* Undertake assigned duties as reasonably directed by the Manager.
* Comply with Health, Safety, and Welfare at Work regulations and report risks or concerns to management.
* Acknowledge participation in a 7-day, 24-hour roster.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
* Third-level Degree in Social Care.
* Proven experience in a social care setting at a project worker level or equivalent.
* Experience supporting marginalized clients/groups, preferably adolescents.
* Understanding of social issues affecting young people, particularly those experiencing homelessness.
* Ability to manage and support clients in crisis with challenging behaviours based on best practice principles.
* Knowledge of Child Protection.
* Experience with key working, assessments, and care planning.
* Excellent report writing and IT skills.
* Teamwork ability and reliability.
* Flexibility.
