About Your New Job
As the
Mechanical Procurement Manager
, you will:
* Manage the full procurement lifecycle for mechanical packages across multiple large-scale projects.
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve best value while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
* Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and terms.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with a reliable network of mechanical suppliers and manufacturers.
* Liaise closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and engineering teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
* Oversee and monitor procurement schedules, identifying risks and mitigating potential delays.
* Manage tender processes for mechanical packages, including preparation of bid documents and evaluation of submissions.
* Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
* Drive cost savings initiatives and maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
* Support continuous improvement in procurement processes and supplier performance.
What Skills You Need
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a procurement management role within the mechanical contracting, M&E, or construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and materials.
* Proven track record of strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills with strong commercial awareness.
* Proficiency in procurement software, MS Office, and relevant construction industry tools.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
