Overview:
Our client seeks an experienced and proactive Maintenance Technician to join their team. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all plant machinery and equipment.
You will play a key part in minimising downtime, maximising productivity, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
* Respond quickly to breakdowns and conduct troubleshooting and repairs.
* Maintain detailed maintenance logs and update the CMMS system.
* Perform electro-mechanical repairs, including work on PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
* Monitor and assess production lines, intervening when performance drops.
* Work both independently and collaboratively to identify and resolve issues.
Requirements:
* 35 years experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
* Strong background in electro-mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
* Experience with automated systems, conveyors, packaging lines, or high-speed production equipment.
* Comfortable working in a regulated environment (food, pharma, automotive experience is a plus).
* Familiarity with Lean, TPM, or other continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
Qualifications & Certifications:
* A recognised qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Level 6 or higher).
* Manual Handling, Working at Heights, or Electrical Safety certs are advantageous.
