Job Description
A Site Manager plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of construction projects. They oversee the entire process, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on multi-discipline site-based projects, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols. They must be able to effectively manage teams, plan and coordinate activities, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
In this key role, you will be responsible for:
* Familiarising yourself with design documentation, project programmes and construction methodologies
* Managing personnel, setting them to work and coordinating activities to ensure smooth project delivery
* Ensuring that plant equipment is fit for purpose and inspected as required
* Reviewing third-party RAMS/SSOW and producing methodology sequencing
* Demonstrating positive behaviours and acknowledging safety excellence
* Identifying and preventing unsafe behaviours, defects and communicating daily briefings
* Reporting programme progress, identifying risks and opportunities to project completion
* Providing a 3-week look ahead to clients and their representatives
* Developing and maintaining quality logs, resolving defects in a timely manner
* Carrying out site H&S inspections/audits and ensuring site-specific inductions and competency checks
* Managing subcontractor performance and escalating issues to the project manager
* Optimising workflows to reduce project programme and demonstrating commercial awareness

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* IOSH Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Site Managers (SHE) qualification
* 5+ years of experience working in multi-discipline site-based projects (Civils)
* 5+ years of construction experience, preferably in trades/supervision roles
* Experience in the water/wastewater industry is desirable
