Job Overview
The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of supply chain processes, meeting production schedules and managing inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer demands.
* Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of stock quantities and due dates.
* Monitor and control inventories of bulk suppliers and finished products to achieve plant inventory level goals.
* Develop contingency plans in response to technical or supply issues.
* Execute production schedules by ensuring process orders are available, batch determinations are completed, material availability is ensured, and technical issues are resolved.
Requirements:
* A relevant qualification in purchasing or production planning, such as a diploma in purchasing or APICS examinations.
* At least two years' experience in production planning in a manufacturing company, preferably with experience in planning short shelf life products.
* A high level of expertise in solving scheduling, logistics, expediting, and purchasing problems.
