Finance Automation & Reporting Specialist (Contract)
Location: Cork
On behalf of my client, I am currently seeking a Finance Automation & Reporting Specialist to support and enhance core accounting and financial reporting processes while helping drive automation and innovation across the finance function.
This role is ideal for a technically curious finance professional who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, data, and emerging technologies such as AI.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support core accounting processes including professional fee reporting and budgeting.
Work with financial data structures to support accurate reporting and insights.
Design and implement automation solutions for statutory and tax-related processes.
Introduce and leverage AI tools to streamline finance workflows and reporting.
Develop AI‑assisted workflows for documentation, reporting, and analysis.
Support the development of internal tools and dashboards to improve finance operations.
Collaborate with Finance and Technology teams on process improvements and automation initiatives.
Key Requirements
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar.
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) preferred.
Experience preparing or working with statutory financial statements.
Strong problem‑solving mindset with a curious, solution‑oriented approach.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
Self‑starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Technical Experience (Preferred)
Tableau or Power BI for reporting and data visualisation
Dataiku or similar data platforms
Exposure to AI tools used for reporting, analysis, or documentation
SQL or Python (beneficial but not essential)
Experience building dashboards (e.g. Streamlit, Tableau, or similar)
