Job Description
Works under supervision to provide high-level support to the Special Education Department and Leadership team by identifying business challenges and opportunities. Uses data analytics to challenge assumptions and influence operational, process, and program changes. Collaborates strategically with subject-matter experts across all service areas to clarify goals and improve overall department performance. Also provides communication, project management, and strategic support to the Director.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Manage projects assigned by the Director by planning, organizing, developing project plans, and leading cross-functional teams.
2. Design methods to track the effectiveness of initiatives, such as ROI analysis, and recommend decisions based on outcomes.
3. Identify project tasks, analyze risks and opportunities, and coordinate work across offices, reviewing plans with the Director.
4. Perform data analysis, manage risks, solve problems creatively, and communicate project status through reports and presentations.
5. Lead tracking of deliverables, communicate findings, and update the leadership team regularly.
6. Ensure decision-makers review relevant documents and provide feedback; summarize key points.
7. Support the development and measurement of departmental goals, KPIs, and objectives, and report on performance.
8. Prepare deliverables and documents for meetings such as Cabinet, Board, and stakeholder engagements.
9. Conduct audits to ensure compliance and assist in policy development and revision.
10. Assist in managing and executing a strategic communications plan for the department and oversee related communications.
11. Collaborate with other departments to align messaging and gather feedback on communications.
12. Perform other duties as assigned, with consideration of private sector experience.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, Management, or related field.
