Cyber Security Executive Osborne recruitment is working with a government backed entity to help them find a Cyber security executive. As part of the Information & Technology Unit, the successful candidate will be a key member of the IT Team. We seek a proactive individual with strong IT skills and knowledge encompassing hardware, software, network, and network protocols. Your role as a Cyber Security Executive is critical in safeguarding our organizations digital assets. You will collaborate across functions to develop and implement robust security strategies. Responsibilities include threat identification, compliance assurance, and maintaining a secure environment. Additionally, you will participate in incident response efforts and drive continuous security improvement. Key Responsibilities: Work directly with the IT Security Manager on security issues and second-level system tasks. Swiftly respond to security incidents, coordinate with stakeholders, and efficiently resolve issues to safeguard organizational systems and data. Identify possible infrastructure vulnerabilities and analyze and resolve them. Manage and track vulnerabilities as per IDA policy ensuring resolution, accurate records and timely reporting. Managing devices and apps using Intune and GPOs. Run internal audit programs to ensure security controls align with IDA policies. Conduct risk assessments for new projects, technologies, vendors, and services. Consolidate security threat research and actively monitor the environment for potential risks. Knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy. Identify, test, and recommend processes, controls, and technologies. Manage security alerts. Analyze log data from multiple sources. Monitor SIEM and Darktrace. Assist the security manager in collecting and analyzing threat intelligence data. Perform log and malware analysis. Conduct system and security reviews. Other tasks as assigned. Key Competencies Required: Knowledge Creativity & Innovation Project Management Communications & Personal Effectiveness Client Focused Relationship Building Networking Negotiating and influencing. Additional Requirements: A relevant Level 8 IT related degree recognized on the National Qualification Framework is essential. 2-3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Technologies, including Azure or Microsoft 365. Knowledge of network and networking protocols. In-depth understanding of security controls and capabilities for Microsoft 365, Intune, Azure, and Microsoft Defender. Familiarity with Information Security Frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS is desirable. Knowledge of KQL and PowerShell. Experience in AD, DHCP, and GPO. Good understanding of SIEM. Azure, Microsoft, or CompTIA Security Certification (e.g., AZ-500, SC-100, Network+, Security+) is desirable. Full Driving License is desirable. Experience in responding to security incidents and breaches is desirable. Knowledge of vulnerability scanners. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
