POST TITLE:
Electrical Control Panel Builder
ROLE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Axiom Control Systems is a leading provider of industrial automation solutions, specialising in the manufacture of custom electrical control assemblies nationally and internationally.
As a result of planned growth and high levels of demand, Axiom Control Systems aim to hire an experienced and enthusiastic Electrical Controls Engineer/Panel Builder to work as part of a growing team in delivering engineered solutions to our clients in the Water/Wastewater, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals and Manufacturing industries. The position is full time, offers flexibility in working arrangements as well as excellent remuneration for the right person. The role is highly versatile in a clean and professional environment and offers the opportunity to develop and expand upon existing experience.
CONTRACT TYPE:
Permanent, subject to a 6-month probation period.
LOCATION:
Working at Axiom Control Systems Site, Tuam, Co. Galway. Occasional requirements may arise for on-site work at Client Sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work to issued design packs and drawings detailing the project requirements for each electrical control panel or distribution system build.
· Mechanical assembly of components, sub-systems and assemblies.
· Electrical wiring of control systems to internal and/or customer specifications and
issued design packs.
· Configure control equipment according to process requirements i.e. VSD's, Process
Equipment, condition/monitoring equipment.
· Carry out factory acceptance testing of completed assemblies and completion of
quality documentation.
· Occasional on-site works at client sites - field wiring of machines, commissioning of
systems, site acceptance testing.

Adhere to highest practicable safety and housekeeping standards of Axiom Control Systems.

Use all necessary tools and equipment required during the project build.

To always act in a professional manner while representing our company in client sites

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND:
The candidate should be/have:
* Qualified electrician or degree in relevant electrical/mechatronics discipline.
* Minimum 5 years experience in industry with a focus on electrical control systems an
advantage.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring schematics.
* Knowledge of PLC systems - Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric beneficial.
* An exceptional eye for detail, neatness and the ability to derive improved methods of work in the implementation of tasks.
* Demonstrate a professional approach to work.
* Strong understanding of industrial control systems, willing to learn and capable of learning in live project environments.
* Previous experience in technical/hands on role and working with electrical control equipment beneficial.
* Ability to show initiative and finish out on assigned tasks.
* Be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
* Hardworking, reliable, honest and a good timekeeper.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Full drivers license
* Legal to work in Ireland
* Communication Skills- Must be fluent in both written and verbal English
OTHER PARTICULARS OF THE POSITION:
· Working Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible hours with the opportunity for overtime as project requirements arise.
· The role will have a 6-month probation period.
