We are recognised as being in the top 5% most energy efficient alumina refineries of the world.

We are currently looking for an individual to become part of our Operations and Craft Facilitation (Supervisory) Team.

Purpose: This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within Aughinish.

As the Operations or Maintenance Facilitator, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality maintenance and technical support service to process operations.

You will be required to assist in managing a busy production department as part of a multi-disciplined staff team as well as overseeing the day-to-day activities of either: A Maintenance team of Fitters and Instrument Electrical craft in ensuring all maintenance work is carried out in an effective and efficient manner.

A team of shift and day operators in ensuring the effective and efficient operations of a busy production department.

Ensuring that all department equipment is properly maintained and in good working order, youll aim to improve the performance of manufacturing equipment and its reliability throughout the site.

Providing the Manufacturing Department with the highest levels of support, youll analyse plant downtime levels and implement effective strategies to increase uptime.

Youll implement best practice systems and lean tools to improve the performance of the Process or Maintenance Team, as well as ensuring that your team are fully trained on the latest equipment and technologies.

We are a team-based environment where employees have a great deal of autonomy.

This role therefore requires a high level of communication and facilitation skills.

As the Process or Maintenance Facilitator, you must have strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills, as well as an analytical, decisive approach.

Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have: At least five years supervisory experience gained within industry.

Third level qualification to a minimum of Diploma in a Technical, Process or Management of other related discipline OR a time served electrical, mechanical or instrumentation apprenticeship or a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.

Proven experience of implementing safety standards.

Demonstrable leadership abilities within project work or day-to-day responsibilities.

Good technical knowledge of process equipment.

The determination and drive to sustain current best practices and the ability to identify, develop and implement future best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities: Lead the teams Keep team and team members aligned with the company values Lead the team in improving on safety, health and environment issues Motivate and lead your team to excellent performance Ensure the teams comply with all safety, health and environmental targets Ensure the team complies with all necessary procedures and administrative requirements e.g.

job tickets, employee time-management, tag-outs, crane lift plans, 5 S system, reserve hours, detailed handovers and logs Ensure the teams comply with all necessary technical and work quality requirements e.g.: work methods, specifications, scopes and best practices Lead the team in improving work methods and support to improve performance with respect to reliability, costs, energy and quality Set annual team objectives Ensure the teams stay focused on their units contribution and standard of work Represent / support the team, where appropriate, in their roles in project development Oversee the assignment of equipment priorities, planning and scheduling, care plans, reviews and failure investigations Enforce discipline within the teams Communicate with the teams on behalf of the Management Develop teams and team members Manage and assess individual and team performance identifying areas for improvement Identify yearly training requirements in conjunction with the training department Coach, guide and provide training for the teams to ensure all team members attain and maintain competency in their roles and that the team continues to deliver high performance Prepare training packages on the operation and maintenance of equipment.

Develop teamwork and autonomy within the Teams Coordinate work Take part in the local annual, intermediate and weekly planning and scheduling and review process to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the maintenance process Ensure completion of the weekly schedules and provide feedback to the planner for schedule reviews confirming completion and identifying areas for improvement.

On-going management and reporting of team performance indicators Drive the weekly schedule review meeting Work as a key member of the local management team Work with the local coordinator and staff team to ensure excellence in the performance of the business unit Ensure the teams stay focused on their units contribution to plant objectives Represent / support the team, where appropriate, in their roles in project development, Manage the team budgets Perform role of Planner/Operations Equipment Facilitator when required.

Work with the other team facilitators Work with the other Team Facilitators to identify and resolve issues affecting the plant and local process, operations and maintenance functions and teams.

With the other Team Facilitators identify common performance gaps and the training and development needed to fill them.

Develop and support interaction between Local teams and other teams.
