FAR 135/91 Lead Flight Scheduler

Job Summary:
FAR 135/91 in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Lead Flight Scheduler to lead/manage a team of 2 Schedulers and 1 Logistician. The Lead Flight Scheduler will report to the Director of Operations and have a standard work schedule of Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the Flight Scheduling team within FAR 135/91 organization, including management of 2 Flight Schedulers and 1 Logistician.
* Manage and schedule aircraft and flight crew for daily and future flights, making adjustments as needed.
* Coordinate pilot training events and activities, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations.
* Schedule and control the movement of all company aircraft.
* Collaborate with maintenance, flight operations, and pilots to ensure a cohesive and clear flight schedule.
* Maintain accurate records of daily crew assignments, check-in records, and crew time records.
* Schedule flight crew to comply with FAA regulations regarding currency and flight/duty time limitations.
* Notify relevant crew members of scheduled flights and trainings.
* Communicate schedule changes to all relevant departments in a timely manner.
* Assist pilots and crew with scheduling issues such as leave or medical appointments.
* E nsure the published schedule is accessible during periods when the scheduler is off duty.
* Stay current on available resources and training to maintain an effective scheduling operation.
* Perform other duties as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum two years' experience in FAR 135/91 Flight scheduling.
* Management experience is preferred.
* Part 135 charter experience is mandatory.
* Previous experience using Charter Fleet Management Software is preferred.
* Ability to analyze and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Salary up to $85,000/year, dependent upon experience.
