Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the construction industry.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the full tender process, from initial planning to completion. They will work closely with clients and contractors to ensure smooth project execution and provide expert advice on procurement strategy.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Negotiation of contracts and work schedules
* Preparation of project costings for tenders, analysing materials, quantities, labour, and time, with thorough record-keeping throughout
* Management of the financial aspects of projects, including cost control and reporting
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution
* Conduct risk analysis, value management, and cost control
* Advise on procurement strategy
* Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team, promoting development and knowledge sharing
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
* Education:
* Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
* Experience:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry (experience in modular construction is advantageous)
* Skills:
* Strong analytical and negotiation skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools
* Previous experience mentoring or coaching team members is highly desirable
