Clerical Officer – Communications & Administration (Temporary - Immediate Start)
Location: Dublin 24, Belgard Square North
Contract: 4–6 Months

A leading government body is seeking an experienced Clerical Officer to join its Directorate of Communications, Strategy, and Governance on an immediate start basis.

This role offers an excellent opportunity tocombine strong administrative expertise with communications supportacross areas such as HR, Corporate Services, Research & Policy, and Governance.

The successful candidate willprovide essential administrative support, assist with communications activities, and work closely with the Director on a variety of strategic and operational projects.

* Salary: €17.03/hour - 35 hour week
* Immediate start with a4–6 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

* Organise and manage meetings, including booking rooms, preparing materials, and taking minutes when required.
* Draft correspondence and prepare professional presentations in PowerPoint.
* Manage internal and external communications (phone, email, letters) with professionalism and discretion.
* Support business planning, reporting, governance, and process improvement initiatives.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures at all times.
* Undertake additional duties as required.
* Minimum of2 years’ experience in a busy, high-pressure administrative role, ideally within a statutory or regulated environment.
* Strong proficiency inMicrosoft Office, particularlyPowerPoint and Excel.
* Confident communicator, comfortable making calls and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Proactive, solution-focused, and capable of working independently.
* Demonstrated discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
* Positive “can-do” attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
