Tipperary.
This part-time position offers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of older adults, helping to enhance mobility, maintain independence, and promote rehabilitation in a community-based setting.
About the Role: As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in providing physiotherapy services to older patients in the community.
You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to assess, treat, and support patients with a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and age-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and treatments for older adults with a range of conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and age-related disorders.
Collaborate with other senior healthcare professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists, to deliver patient-centred care.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to support rehabilitation and improve patients' overall quality of life.
Promote early discharge from hospitals and facilitate reablement interventions for patients in the community.
Work closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Contribute to the development of service delivery and quality improvement initiatives.
Engage in ongoing supervision and professional development opportunities to enhance your expertise.
Requirements: BSc in Physiotherapy.
CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
A minimum of three years of post-graduate Physiotherapy experience, with at least one year at Senior level (experience in a community or rehabilitation setting is preferred).
Strong experience in rehabilitation, falls prevention, musculoskeletal, and/or neurological physiotherapy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and leadership.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
A full clean driver's license and access to a car for community visits.
