Quantity Surveyor Role in Overhead Lines Project

Key Responsibilities
* Commercial Strategy & Support:
o Support senior quantity surveyors with tender preparation, evaluation, and subcontractor agreements, and manage financial and commercial aspects of subcontractors.
o Ensure timely final account resolution and maintain accurate site records and documentation.
* Documentation & Financial Oversight:
o Conduct detailed site measurements, contribute to cost-value reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts, and financial targets, and manage valuations.
o Ensure timely submission and agreement of variations and identify and mitigate risks.
* Team Collaboration & Risk Management:
o Collaborate with site management teams to address commercial issues and engage in the CVR process, providing independent analysis.
o Support cash flow management to ensure strong financial health and gain experience in contract law, claims, and dispute resolution.
* Mentorship & Learning:
o Develop understanding of design & build (D&B) and contractor design portion (CDP) contracts and supervise and mentor assistant and trainee quantity surveyors.
o Ensure quality and accuracy and promote and protect the company's commercial and contractual rights.
* Client Liaison:
o Engage with clients on commercial matters related to the project and provide strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Requirements
* Experience: Minimum 1 year as a quantity surveyor in a civils/construction environment.
* Skills:
o Effective time management, organization, and negotiation skills, demonstrated commercial awareness, and ownership.
