Our client is a well-established main contractor with a strong presence across both the Irish and UK construction markets. With an annual turnover comfortably in excess of €55m, they have built a reputation as a dependable and technically capable delivery partner across a broad range of building and civil works.
The business is known for combining the agility of a mid-tier contractor with the systems, governance and delivery standards of a larger organisation. They consistently deliver projects in the €10m to €70m range across both public and private sectors, with a portfolio spanning education, healthcare, civic, sports and other public infrastructure schemes.
A key element of their recent growth has been their involvement in a strategic joint venture with a leading Tier 1 contractor, providing exposure to larger, more complex builds and reinforcing their position as a trusted delivery partner in the region. This continues to open up further opportunities across an expanding workload.
With a clear long-term growth plan and an increasingly strong order book, the business is investing in its commercial and project delivery teams. They place a real emphasis on developing their people, with structured progression pathways and a culture that supports those looking to advance their careers quickly.
You will be joining a close-knit commercial team working on a flagship sports development in the greater Dublin area, with the project programmed to run for approximately 24 months. The scheme represents a significant piece of work for the business and offers the chance to take genuine ownership of a high‑profile delivery from start to finish.
The role is structured around a healthy balance of office and site‑based activity. The main office is located in Dublin, around 15 minutes from the project site, allowing for an efficient split between commercial reporting, contract administration and hands‑on site engagement throughout the working week.
The emphasis sits firmly on the delivery phase rather than pre‑contract estimating, giving you the opportunity to play a leading role in driving the commercial performance of a live project. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, design consultants and the wider commercial function, gaining strong exposure across all aspects of project delivery.
The wider environment is collaborative, supportive and performance‑led. The business invests in its commercial staff and rewards those who take initiative, with clear opportunities to grow into more senior commercial leadership roles as the workload continues to expand.
