McElhinneys is currently recruiting for a motivated Buyer for the Ladies Shoes Department.The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion, an eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced retail environment. We are looking for someone who can lead the Ladies Footwear Department in purchasing stylish and on-trend collections for each season.Job Responsibilities / RequirementsAbility to identify and understand upcoming retail dynamics and footwear trends in the ladies' fashion industry.Previous experience in buying, fashion retail, and a strong understanding of customer needs.Work closely with the Department to engage with the team on new product launches and ensure they are fully updated with relevant product knowledge.Source and buy the right footwear products in line with the company's brand identity and customer profile.Monitor market demand and ensure deliveries are received within the agreed timeframes.Confidence in negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best cost prices while maintaining strong margins.Manage stock levels effectively, analyse EPOS reports, and build collections based on top-selling lines.Develop and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers across all brands.Continuously analyse the department's performance and work with the Department Manager to identify new opportunities for growth.Strong organisational skills to manage budgets, paperwork, and reporting systems to a high standard of efficiency.Communicate clearly with employees, ensuring they are fully informed of key product and order details.Good knowledge of social media and digital marketing, with the ability to spot opportunities to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement in collaboration with the Department Manager.Job Type: Full-timePay: €15.00-€18.00 per hourExpected hours: 35 – 39 per weekBenefits:Employee assistance programEmployee discountWellness programAbility to commute/relocate:Ballybofey, CO.
