FENIX continues to experience significant growth and is seeking a Life Sciences Associate Consultant to support growing global consulting engagements. Our Life Sciences Associate Consultants leverage their analytic, interpretive, scientific, and communication skills to formulate well-thought-out insights that support team decision-making and execution. FENIX Associate Consultants help derive customer insights through the conduct, management, and analysis of primary and secondary qualitative and quantitative research. They assist in writing concise, accurate summaries of industry and market events using their knowledge and context of the pharmaceutical industry as they contribute to successful project deliveries. In this role, you would have the opportunity to gain consulting experience from a team of FENIX experts, help guide and influence decision-making for a global pharma company, and develop thought leadership in exciting therapy areas.RESPONSIBILITIESConduct comprehensive secondary market research (e.g., monitoring competitor websites, earnings calls, clinical trials, and patient/HCP websites)Identify and conduct primary market research (e.g., interviews of HCPs/KOLs, industry sources) and provide clear and accurate notes to the teamAssist junior team members with various market-related tasksDevelop consistent and impactful primary CICover key international conferences (either virtually or in-person), including key clinical sessions, industry booths, and collect primary researchDevelop a comprehensive congress plannerInterpret key clinical trialsLeverage problem-solving skills and industry research methodologies to derive insights and inform project team and client decision-makingConduct quantitative research data analysesLeverage strong project management and organizational skills to ensure that all tasks are performed in a timely manner and that all client deliverable deadlines are metSynthesize and communicate results to project teams and clients, leveraging consulting languageAssist in authoring relevant, clear, and succinct client implications, executive summaries, and elevator pitchesPlay an active role in deliverables, including client presentations and reports, as well as leveraging tools to strengthen client relationsQUALIFICATIONSExcellent oral and written communication skills in English (fluent or Level C2 Certificate) REQUIREDEU citizenship or the ability to legally live/work in Dublin, Ireland without the need for sponsorship REQUIREDMinimum of a PhD degree in life sciences (e.g., biochemistry, pharmacology, biology), pharmaceutical business, or related field REQUIREDLife sciences research experience/expertise REQUIREDGood understanding of pharmacology (e.g., pharmacodynamics, routes of administration, receptor biology, signaling pathways) REQUIRED1-2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, life sciences research experience, and/or life sciences consulting PREFERREDAttention to detail – Ability to meticulously review deliverables before submitting them for final QC (can you spot errors in your own work?)Proactivity – at FENIX, we don't simply follow instructions; instead, we critically evaluate whether the instructions are complete or could be applied beyond their initial scope; in addition, providing new ideas on process improvements/efficiencies and methodologies is expectedResourcefulness – the ability to independently search for an answer and ask for help when neededProficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); the ability to craft visual and professional PowerPoint slides from scratch is a big plusDemonstrated ability to work independently (good work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative), as well as ability to work as a member of a highly collaborative teamSelf-discipline for planning and organizing tasks, ensuring that no task (no matter how minor) is forgottenThe ability to aggregate, organize, distill, and analyze relevant information to derive meaningful implicationsFlexibility and ability to adapt to changing project and client needs (while you may initially begin on one project, you may have to do other projects based on changing company needs)Willingness and ability to travel to domestic and international scientific congressesGrowth mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively as well as autonomouslyAbility to think critically and strategically and make assessments keeping the "big picture" in mind, frequently asking yourself: "Does this make sense?"Humility and ability to take feedback constructively, with a strong desire to learn and growThe ability to take complex information and make it easy to understand to sometimes non-scientific audiences
