Your Responsibilities
You will develop and maintain Java source code for both the implementation of new features and the maintenance of existing ones.
The focus will be on enhancing our control center software for automated vehicle location (AVL), intermodal transport control system (ITCS) and electromobility applications.
Software development will include analysis, design, implementation and testing for our international projects.
Assuming responsibility for specific software modules and the integration into the overall system.
You will work in close cooperation with the development and projects teams in the HQ in Germany.
Applied technologies will be Java, JPA, Spring, REST, Maven and PostgreSQL. Also containers (Kubernetes, docker), Loki, Grafana and Wiremock.
Your Profile
Third level qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline.
At least 2+ years’ industry experience with object-oriented software development based on Java.
Experience in Java Persistence API and relational databases such as PostgreSQL would be a plus.
High commitment, team spirit and motivation to assume responsibility in a Scrum development team.
Availability for occasional business travel to our HQ in Karlsruhe, Germany.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Location
We offer a hybrid working model with a mix of both office and home working with emphasis on a collaborative development. INIT Ltd, Maynooth, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
