We are offering an exciting
3 month summer internship
for a Laboratory Intern to join our laboratory team and gain hands-on experience in materials testing, quality control, and sustainability-driven innovation.
This internship provides a meaningful learning experience in a fast-paced, purpose-led environment where accuracy, curiosity, and scientific discipline are valued.
Working closely with the Laboratory Manager and wider technical team, you will support daily laboratory operations and contribute to research and development projects focused on advancing low-carbon technologies.
This role is based on site in Dublin and requires attendance
5 days per week
due to the hands-on nature of laboratory work.
Start date June 1st, ****.
Role Responsibilities
Laboratory Operations & Testing
Carry out laboratory tests in accordance with relevant standards (e.g., EN 196 series, EN 197, EN *****).
Maintain testing schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Accurately record all results in LIMS and assist with basic data interpretation.
Report anomalies or unexpected results to the Laboratory Manager for review.
Support with equipment checks, cleaning, calibration, and general lab upkeep.
Quality & Compliance
Assist in monitoring products to ensure they meet required specifications.
Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
Adhere to company policies, quality procedures, and confidentiality standards.
Research & Innovation Support
Participate in ongoing research, development, and local market innovation projects.
Contribute ideas, ask questions, and support problem-solving discussions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams where required.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Working towards a qualification in science, engineering, materials, or a related field.
An interest in laboratory work, data recording, materials testing, or sustainability.
Basic familiarity with laboratory environments or scientific equipment is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
