Location: South Dublin (Hybrid – 2 days on site).
The Role
Are you an experienced Commercial Underwriter This is a fantastic opportunity where you will play a key part in evaluating and underwriting multi-line commercial business, working closely with broker partners and internal sales teams to drive growth while maintaining underwriting discipline.
Key Responsibilities
* Underwrite Commercial Property and Liability business in line with company standards and risk appetite.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with broker partners and internal stakeholders.
* Support business growth by identifying and securing new opportunities while ensuring quality risk selection.
* Utilize pricing tools and maintain underwriting discipline to achieve financial objectives.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior underwriting staff.
* Monitor market trends and contribute to the development of product strategies.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting policies.
What You Need to Succeed
* +3 experience in Commercial Underwriting.
* Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and underwriting principles.
* Proven ability to make sound underwriting decisions and manage risk effectively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong professional relationships.
* Self-motivated, ambitious, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
