Job Description:
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic journalist with basic video editing skills to join our in-house production team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to find and write interesting stories and create high-quality, engaging short-form video content for a global audience.
You will work with our production team to create short-form news videos about a variety of topics including breaking news, entertainment, sport, lifestyle and sci/tech. This is a hybrid working role with two days working from home and three days in our offices in Dublin city centre.
Responsibilities:
* You will source, write, edit and publish videos about breaking news stories and trending topics.
* Source, write and publish slideshows about trending topics across a variety of categories.
* Ensure video content is in line with our house style.
* Collaborate with other members of staff to identify content opportunities.
* Create duplicate videos in different styles (e.g. vertical for social media).
Requirements:
* Exceptional written and oral communication skills, (fluency in English required).
* Bachelor's degree or higher in media or journalism, or experience in journalism.
* Excellent communicator with the ability to work as part of a team.
* Basic knowledge of video production software.
* A keen interest in topical news stories and trends across a variety of categories.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines.
* A creative person who can think outside the box.· A background in journalism and strong writing skills

Pay: From €27,700.00 per year
