Responsibilities
Coordinating with departments (banqueting, catering, AV, housekeeping)
Managing day to day client expectations for bookings – Corporate events and Social events
Providing excellent service to clients
Handling last‑minute changes calmly and efficiently
Coordinating across vendors, hotel teams, and clients
Managing multiple events simultaneously
Prioritizing under pressure
Upselling hotel services (catering, room blocks, AV)
Managing invoices and event P&Ls
Ensuring profitability of events
Handling unexpected issues (weather, equipment, staffing)
Quick decision‑making
Providing creative solutions on event day
Familiarity with hotel PMS (Opera)
Experience with event management software
Basic AV skills (projectors, mics, staging)
Ensuring compliance with hotel policies
Reviewing function sheets (Banquet Event Orders)
Double‑checking room setups, dietary requirements, and schedules
Ensuring a seamless guest experience
Qualifications
The ability to manage, plan and execute all events within the conferencing and banqueting department
Excellent communication skills and ability to follow verbal directions in a fast‑paced environment
Strong attention to detail and high‑level knowledge of Food & Beverage service
Ability to adapt to change and work well under pressure
Outgoing and friendly personality
Professional image at all times, in line with hotel standards
Hospitality expertise (understanding guest flow, service standards)
Cultural awareness when working with international clients
Excellent team training skills
Previous experience with hotel event operations
Outstanding communication and time‑management skills, and ability to prioritise tasks
Committed to the team and the hotel industry
Flexible with working hours – available for weekends, early starts and late finishes
Effective use of event‑management software and PMS
