We work closely with the actuarial teams in both the UK and across Europe, and often on multi-service line engagements with our Business Consulting colleagues.Your Key ResponsibilitiesActuarial Senior managers are involved in the successful delivery and management of actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal EY team.The successful candidate will be expected to drive the production of client deliverables, with an emphasis on quality and teaming.They will have a responsibility for assisting with the management and development of more junior colleagues.They will have a number of areas of technical excellence, participating in the research and development required to support the growth of these fields of expertise.They will be expected to adopt an account management mind-set, identifying client specific needs.Skills and Attributes for SuccessTo qualify for the role you must havePrevious experience in managing teams and delivering projectsDemonstrated ability in problem solving and managing multiple tasksExcellent communication skills, both in written and oral formatFocus on deadlines, discipline and process, yet flexible and pragmaticProfessional attitude and demeanourConfident dealing with clientsTechnical Skills:Qualified Actuary, with a minimum of 8 years PQE and over 10 years of total experience in non-life insurance/reinsurance or non-life consultancy, preferably with IFRS 17 or related experienceExcellent technical and analytical skillsNon-life actuarial software experience (e.g. RESQ, WinRes, Arius)Awareness of and interest in the challenges facing the non-life insurance industryWhat we offerWe offer a competitive remuneration package.
