Duties and Responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities include:
* Develop expertise in core areas of ICT service such as application support, desktop support and user setups.
* Handle and manage support tickets on the ICT service desk.
* Work as part of a team in delivering service-related projects such as system upgrades, technology refresh projects and office setups/moves.
* Managing the administration of joiners, leavers and movers in the Area.
* Work on the Tusla ICT tech hub providing drop‑in tech help services at national, regional and local events.
* Work as part of the ICT service team in the delivery of high‑quality support service to users.
* Collaborate with other ICT teams to support transition of new services to the service desk and assist in ICT projects.
* Interact with users in a helpful and responsive manner to understand their requirements and provide required service.
* Contribute to the team environment and culture in providing excellent service to users.
* Comply with and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, guidelines and safe professional practice and adhere to relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
* Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the service (e.g. National Standards for Child Protection and Care) and comply with Tusla protocols.
* Support, promote and actively participate in sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in an ICT support role with demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office, O365, Windows and device support.
* Knowledge and demonstrated experience of Active Directory, Security Groups and User setups.
* Possess sufficient administrative capacity to discharge functions of the grade/post.
Health
Candidate must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties and be in a state of health allowing regular efficient service.
Character
Candidate must be of good character.
Skills, Competencies and Knowledge
Requires application of Tusla Leadership Competency Framework, particularly Leading Others. Competency of Professional Knowledge is linked to duties and criteria. Visitor to leadership framework page is recommended.
Other Requirements
* Required access to appropriate transport as post may involve travel.
* Awareness of children and young people’s participatory practice.
Compensation and Terms
* Salary: €51,718 – €61,866 LTIs (Long Service Increments).
* Work: 35 hours per week.
* Annual leave: 30 days per annum.
* Superannuation: Pensionable position; membership notified in contract.
* Probation: 39 weeks (extendable by 9 weeks).
* Tenure: Permanent whole time; posts pensionable.
