Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner based at Biggart Hospital

Hours
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
Monday – Friday 9-5pm – work pattern can be discussed and agreed according to service need

UK Driving Licence/Car Ownership
A UK car licence is essential to this role.

What You Will Do
The post holder will be confident in working alongside an Occupational Therapist carrying a highly complex caseload. This role will involve managing a delegated caseload providing evidence based occupational therapy interventions. The post holder will support the ongoing management, review & delivery of OT services across South Ayrshire. The postholder will be able to work autonomously and support people and their families to achieve good rehabilitation outcomes alongside wider health and social care services

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job
You will require to have excellent communication and organisational skills along with a proactive and dynamic attitude. The postholder should enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that our local population are able to receive accessible and responsive support.

You will be required to actively participate in supervision and the Personal Development structure whilst clinically working as part of a wider multi disciplinary team.
